I grew up in a rural Cambridgeshire village with a passion for horses, studying and talking way too much. I was far from grounded, my school years were tainted by being bullied which led me down a dark road of self harm and an eating disorder.
I began practising Yoga at around 17, blindly using the practice to obtain the perfect figure. My encounter with Yoga as a teenager was sadly short lived, and too brief for the practice to sink in.
It was in my mid twenties after suffering from anxiety for several years that I found my life's true path. After my first class I felt real again, no internal chatter, no anxiety, i felt pure and full of bliss.
Yoga has guided me back home, through it I am forever learning, loving, grateful and filled with inner peace.
As well as Yoga I write music, much of which is inspired by my practice, I love long walks with my husband and our gorgeous rescue dog Bear. Spare time these days is spent nourishing my inner child by playing with my gorgeous little boy.
I hope that you find Yoga as nourishing and inspiring as I do
